Emma is not all that well today. She is coming down with a bit of a cold, which can’t be all that good news. If the baby has not come tomorrow then I am finishing work early (but starting early too!) and we are going to go to see the Incredibles at the cinema. My mate Chris has already been to see it and said that it is the best Pixar annimation yet, and as I loved monsters inc. with a passion I am very excited. However, I would still prefer the baby!
I have been making honey and lemon for Emma and trying to be as nice as possible. It does sometimes seem like she is happy when I am at work and grumpy when I am home, but understandably she is getting tired at night and fed up of still being big.
I hope Lee is right in the sweepstake and it comes tomorrow. I have taken this restbite to update the babys webpage ready for the bit event! (Link on the LHS)
Check out a preview for the incredibles, here
The good news is that one of us will go for free with orange wednesdays. If you hav’nt joined the best mobile network there ever was then do it (or else!)
I will let you know if it is good.

Well. The due date has come and gone, and still no sign of the little bambino. Actually, it’s been quite an emotional day. Read (or had read too me) a bit of my mums book and some of the content made me quite emotional. It’s a really great book and such as strong thing to have done, but some of the things that I didn’t know need some thinking about.
It’s strange waiting for an event that will change your life… there have been a few signs (perhaps) today that things could be getting ready, so perhaps we wont have to wait all that much longer! Well… looking back at this in two weeks time is bound to be fun!
I feel relaxed and calm, and a little excited. Emma seems well, and reflecting back it has been a really great preganancy. I am now convinced that it will be a girl, but don’t know why, and also dont mind one bit. It just needs to do the right thing and come out the right way.
Go baby Dixon…..
The camera is charaged, Emma’s bag is packed, everywhere is ready… I’m sure there will be some things I have forgotton!
Our friend Caroline has finished our picture, she is a great artist and has done an origional pastal work for us. I allready know that it will be so good and am very exited. I think that we will put if pride of place in the front room when it comes.
Ah well… perhaps tomorrow I will tell you all about labour… or perhaps not!

Hello.
Only when showing this off today, did I realise that I haven’t updated this for a long while. Why?… Well been a bit busy for one thing, and also I’m extremely lazy, for another.
Reading back it seems strange to think that I was going to my first parentcraft classes, and now we are only a few days away (utiliasing positive thinking) from actually doing the whole birth thing. We have got the house sorted (I think) and areabout ready (not that you can ever really be ready for a baby).
I can’t really tell you all the stuff that’s been happening, but I can strive to update this, and the babies pages (click on the left hand side) as things progress.
I guess my major life change so far has been the wonder of contact lenses, which I now wear almost all the time (including sleep) they are really good, most of the time, and a total pain for the rest, but I am persevering with them as there is nothing like waking up in the morning and being able to see.
I am planning to photograph and video the birth so standby and you should be able to download exciting clips!
Later!
