Been busy! Forum is now up and running, click the forum link on the LHS menu bar.
I have created a couple of categories to get us started, but I will add others as we go along.
Hopefully it all works, as it is “fully tested”! Please let me know of any bugs.

HAPPY EASTER
After popular demand, and becuase it destracts me from more important work, I am building a forum for general discussions on the site, which should be ready in the next week or so… also there is an exciting development planned, hopefully starting on April 1st (and it is’nt a joke, although it could be foolish!)
The bird box camera is installed and working and I have already seen some great pictures of the blue tits as they build their nest. They dont seem to sleep in the nest yet, but come during the day to install moss and grass and make things a bit smarter. I hope to have some pictures on the site soon, and I it will really start getting interesting when the eggs are laid and the chicks come (hopefully). The quality of the camera is good, but there is no audio, as I messed it up
Ah well, something for next year…
Emma has been ill with food poisioning (dont go to the 2 for 1 pub, Deepdale Preston, and have cajan chicken is my advice) and was very sick, and I had to bottle feed James. Emma is getting a bit better now, and James ws very good for me so all is well.
Congradulations to my mate big Dave, who not only got a new house, but the previous occupant left loads of stuff! Bonus..
Hopefully we will go egg rolling tomorrow, so I will let you know how that tradition went.
Have fun

So… here is todays pic. It’s not animated, so how are the cogs moving?
fun isn’t it. If you cant see this all that well then click here for a big version.
Still doing ok with the purposes book. I’m thinking today about what drives my life, it’s not that easier question. I think I just want to do everything and don’t really have a sense of focus. Perahps I just want to be able to do what everyone else does.

I think whilst it’s Easter, I will do a funny pic of the day (cos lots of websites do that)
Here is todays…
I love it!!!!!!!!!

Over Easter I am going to be reading “the purpose driven life”, a Christian book by a guy called Rick Warren. The idea is to find your purpose in life, or as the book puts it “Gods purpose for your life”. You read a chapter a day and then reflect on what you have read.
The first few (I have done two) have already been a tad controversial. It seems to imply that God has pre-destined everything, which, if you take this to it’s logical conclusions means that he also pre-arranged all the bad stuff that happens…this seems a tad confusing and contradictory.
I would be interesed in comments and especially if anyone has read the book. I will keep you posted on my progress!
You can also find more about it on this website
Tried James in the main bath today, and all seemed to be well. This is in peperation for him going swimming, which is an exciting step! He has started to make blowing bubbles noises as well as his talking.

Help!
Any lawn experts out there? I have been looking at the state of my lawn this weekend. I was hoping that it would be a show lawn this year, after all my tender care last season, however although some bits look ok, the bottom end has loads of bare patches (as you can see below)
What is the best way to sort this out? Shall I re-seed these bits, and if so, when? It’s all a bit puzzling. I am going to toplawn the lawn at the end of April, as I am following the lawncare programe in “the lawn expert” book.
Having a lawn is deffinatly not easy, and besides it needs to be in top condition next year, as James may be ready to play football on it.

OK. Now instead of email you can do things the smart way using the comments links on each post. Don’t really understand what the trackback things are for, so if someone can explain then please do. I look forward to some comments in the near future.

Everyone should have a top 5 list. This is a fictitious list of people that you can date if the opportunity arrises, but involves celebraties, so that it’s safe! My list is on the LHS of the site, and there is still a vacant position, so if you have any suggestions then mail me.
Why don’t you do your own top five list and then e-mail me so that I can see who’s on it… What fun.

Just felt like a poem!
I can be quite creative like that.
Also check out my tributes to Eminem and The Eagles, although they may be a bit Lancaster Uni specific!

Raindrops on cleaned cars
And pain when I’m bitten
Falling in nettles
And songs still unwritten
Broken brown packages
The postman brings
These are a few of my least favourite things
Stupid old cronies
And damp apple strudels
Mouldy old hotels
And stinky white poodles
Adverts that try
To sell panties with wings
These are a few of my least favourite things
When the days bright
When the cat sings
When I’m feeling glad
I simply remember my least favourite things and that helps me feel more sad
Colleagues successes,
Whilst my career crashes
Bathing in fairy
Which brings out my rashes
Cocky young sprinters
Whose legs work like springs
These are a few of my least favourite things!
When the days bright
When the cat sings
When I’m feeling glad
I simply remember my least favourite things and that helps me feel more sad
