Diary of Home Improvement: Day 55
Such a lot has happened. More roof, rooms being finished, kitchens being chosen. There are loads of problems still and bits needing to be done, the main one being the plumbing! However, I hope to sort at least part of that out very soon (in fact if I don’t it will all be very bad indeed)
The kitchen, appliances, worktops and appliances have all been ordered and should be here very shortly. I can’t tell you too much, because there is still lots for me to sort out. However, things are hopefully moving towards a fitting of tiles and kitchen next week! Yay.
Here are some pics, but they are old now. Will try and post another update and take more pictures tomorrow.
OOPS ERROR! Pics stuck in camera, will put batterys on charge.

Diary of Home Improvement: Day 44
Building work continues a pace! In fact the pace surprises me with it’s fastness. The electrician man was here today and must have worked his socks off, because it seems there is enough cable in the new build to circumnavigate the world. There are some smart things made of metal to run the cables down the wall, and I assume that you plaster over them? Good job I budgeted extra for some electrical work because I think I am over my quota for switches, lights and sockets. Here is an example of some electrical handiwork.
that’s not to say that the builders haven’t been busy as well. I hear rumors that boarding up? Might start on Monday. It’s tricky to get all you decisions correct, when you haven’t got the kitchen plans back yet. Also, I need to get the plumbers and kitchen fitters (problem there…) ready if this pace is kept up. The roof is now as good as finished and stuff which I presume is to keep air in the roof has been put on, as well as some board stuff (see below)….
It’s all well exciting.

Diary of Home Improvement: Day 41
Home from New Wine, which was great fun, would do it again (and may be asked too). The builders have not slacked, even without hob nobs and bacon butties. As you can see the roof is now well underway, and the soil pipe has been replaced. The porch has been knocked down and loads of blockwork and stuff has been done. On the downside we got a quote for the kitchen, which might meen we need to rob a back. However, we can probabbly cut it down somewhat.
Enjoy these pics of the work so far (and hopefully I can keep things better updated now I’m back)

Happy wedding aniversary to me. However, although happy, Emma was ill and we didnt get all the things done we wanted too. We tried a trip to the National Railway Museum, but had to come back. Nevermind, there will be other times. I quite fancy a ride on the flying scotsman (but perhaps that’s for when I’m older!)

Here is a picture of the studio.
Not bad for zero budget. The broadcast mixer and computer are from the New wine Shepton Mallet conference (cos they’ve got new ones). All the other stuff is from mine, Tim and Robins bedrooms! The nice flat screen monitor is borrowed for a week.
Here is a picture of the studio in action (Darren presenting). You can see some of the other equipment as well. It has (so far) been a really good week. I have been very busy but it has been great fun. Not much opportunity to go to the seminars, but heard a lot on the radio. Lots of people phoned in from Harrogate and the surrounding area and came in as day visitors.
