my watches
I have recently started to collect wrist and pocket watches.
Some have made it only as far as the garage where they will probabbly stay, but others have made it into my watch display box, which has ten cases. This page shows and describes watches that I have something to say about!
Here is my current collection as of December 2008

My Watch Collection 2008
From left to right.
(Top Row)
1. Seiko Automatic, 17 Jewels. New strap fitted.
2. Citizen Eco Drive, Perpetual Calendar. Purchased new, bracelet had been repaired 3 times under warrenty, not happy with that!
3. Wittnauer 2000 Automatic Calendar. Like this a lot, kind of like a slide rule setting method.
4. Alpha Submariner. Until I can afford a real one!
5. Pulsar Chronograph.
(Bottom Row)
1. Seiko Quartz
2. Sekonda, 19 Jewels, Manual Wind.
3. Citizen Quartz perpetual calendar. Really like this, it’s got a very unusual dial design.
4. Wostok Century Time, Automatic.
5. Casio Illuminator, $35 from some airport!
I’ll post some better individual pics when I get round to it!
I’ve got to do some serious saving now, ready for some desired watches to replace some of the collection in 2009.
Citizen Quartz Perpetual Calendar – 6700-G70081
I love the dial layout on this watch and I’m a fan of perpetual calendars. I believe that it was made for the German market and I’ve certainly not seen another one for sale since I obtained this one. The buttons on the side let you quickly step through all the dates so you can find out what weekday a specific day will fall on. Dissadvantages? Well after 2056 the Year dial runs out!
